Not on the Tennessee Pass line but still interesting. This tunnel was built in 1891 for the Colorado Midland Railroad. In 1922 the railroad was abandon and the tunnel was converted to be used by cars. Sometime in the 1940s the tunnel was closed for cars and is now used to bring water from one side of the mountain to the other. |
